Advocate for accessible, human-centered technology that creates dignity and possibility.

Joining PIF…

I joined the Presidential Innovation Fellowship because I know, personally and professionally, what happens when technology is designed to meet people where they are. As someone who has navigated dyslexia and dysgraphia, I have experienced firsthand how adaptive tools can change the trajectory of a life. Voice dictation, spellcheck, and other assistive technologies did more than help me work faster; they gave me access, confidence, and the ability to fully participate. They showed me that technology is not just about efficiency. At its best, it creates dignity, possibility, and a more level playing field.

That lesson has stayed with me throughout my career. In serving veterans and their families, I have seen the same principle play out on a larger scale: when technology is thoughtful, accessible, and delivered well, it can make essential services easier to reach, easier to trust, and more responsive to real human needs. It can reduce barriers, expand opportunity, and make institutions feel more humane.

That is what drew me to PIF. It offered a chance to bring together the things that matter most to me: public service, innovation, and measurable impact on people’s daily lives. I joined because government has a unique opportunity to use technology in ways that serve people. PIF felt like a place where that belief could become action.
