Technology researcher building AI infused software to improve people’s lives.
Mike Kreisel is a researcher and engineer who is passionate about using technology for the social good. His expertise is in designing, prototyping, and deploying machine learning systems which have an immediate, measurable impact.
Prior to joining PIF, Mike worked as a data scientist and researcher at Comcast, Google, and Quantifind. His machine learning systems have processed billions of pieces of data and served millions of customers. Most recently, Mike designed a large scale A/B testing system to evaluate and improve recommendation models at Comcast. He also created models to isolate the location of internet outages, allowing for earlier and more accurate detection.
Mike holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, and a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from Amherst College.
